Polkadot Stingray have always been brilliant, and with Shizuku’s style of singing and compositional skills and Harushi Ejima’s eclectic guitar licks they can hardly be called pop. Shizuku was an exchange student in England and her English is pretty good, so here’s hoping one day they’ll jet over. All of the band are top notch and even in Japan they don’t get the recognition they deserve

Put me in the like category. Reminds me a bit of Melt Banana, whose strange vocals have got me hooked for several years, so I don't think the vocals of Akai Kurage would turn me off.

This song "SOUL•DEFENDER" is very powerful. There is an original rhythm and melody of LOVEBITES, and it's very groovy. Above all, the rhythm team is great！Fami's base arrangement is effective and wonderful. The English subtitles are also very cool, and the video composition is also very innovative. Babymetal has single handily gotten me out of my depression from my own major health issue aka chronic fatigue syndrome. I discovered them about 5 monthes ago and i fell in love. Then going through their music and Sakura Gakurin days via by binging all your reaction videos was so awesome and a great time. Its my dream to go to Japan and see Babymetal live there. Chronic fatigue sysdrome is so brutal ive been living on disability pay and doing work at home stuff but im still saving up money to go some day during when Babymetal performs. I dont care how shitty my body is im doing all i can to have the energy for that special night

Putting giant words directly on the screen for Soul Defender, right as Asami is saying them too, might help eliminate any barriers she has in reaching a wider audience (for a music video anyway, as they can’t rely on everyone using CC), while reaching a wider audience seems like the goal of the new EP (so far, anyway). Why I think this works: I think when someone is singing in the same language, there comes a certain expectation people have to understand what is being said (or they can be more critical of it), while understanding it helps people get emotionally into the song. Also many reactors weren’t aware that Lovebites sings in English. Like Unchained, it is more accessible or commercial, but still old Lovebites. I’m not going to rate the song itself, as I’m probably just too critical in general. I’m just going to say it’s a bit better than Unchained IMO. Fami is also less of a focus in their two newest music videos (Unchained and Soul Defender) than she was in their two older music videos before them (Judgement Day and Stand and Deliver), which is the opposite of what many fans were expecting; however, maybe another song on the new EP will give her more of a spotlight? I think Lovebites members sharing the spotlight actually makes a lot of sense, as fans have different favorites, even instrumentally speaking. Or rather, just for the sake of variety itself seems reasonable too.

If you want to see them live, you have the opportunity in the autumn when they have their last Japan tour. When you can see them next no one knows. They are going on an indefinite hiatus from December 31st, and no one knows for how long. They specify that they will return, but not when. They are releasing a fan-voted best of album soon, and the tour in the fall will consist of these songs.

You need to go to Japan this year. They are taking a break at the end of the year to work on personal projects and who knows how long their hiatus will be

I have a suggestion for a reaction. Have you reacted to Epiphone's video cover of "If I Were A Constellation" on RUclips? It's well worth a listen. The lyrics in the video are in Japanese, but the original lyrics of the song for an anime and are in English. Epiphone is made up of artists from other J-Rock bands. This is a jazzy, fun, upbeat song. It makes me smile every time I hear it.

I don't really get a lot of Babymetal vibes from this, just overall too dark of a vibe imo, but damn this slaps hard! I like it a lot! Will definately keep an eye out for this! Check out 'Just for Myself' he wrote for A3! anime; it could have easily been a huge anthem for Babymetal. I'm trying to help Babymetal fans discover the huge trove of songs Yuyoyuppe has written outside of vocaloid. I have found (at least) 155 songs he has written for others. I have compiled them into a playlist on my RUclips homepage (took me a while). When it comes to Babymetals music production, Yuyoyuppe and Megmetal are the big 2. Norimetal and Ryu-metal are the 2 next important. Yuyoyuppe is practically the Beethoven of Japanese songwriters. To me, 'Hope' and 'Monochrome' are two of his greatest songs. Want more like this from him like this? 'Angels Ladder' by Mary's Blood 'Just for Myself' for A3 anime 'Messiah' by Alba Sera 'Undermine' by 浮気者 (adulterer/cheater) the first in my playlist, 'Anemone' by Tokoyami Towa But even his rock, ballads, J-pop, and EDM stuff is great. I love 'Chi Chin Pui Pui' he wrote for idol group Moso Calibration. You can hear a bit of Megitsune in it. If discovering Babymetal is falling in the Foxhole, discovering Yuyoyuppe's works should be getting lost in Yuppeland. Keep spreading the word about his music and talent; it can only enhance appreciation and interest in Babymetal.👍
